Terms and Conditions
These are the general Terms and Conditions of business for Pure Life Massage Therapy (Massage and Pamper Parties). Please note that specific Terms and Conditions for Baby Massage and Corporate Events are available on request or will be sent upon booking.
Summary of Terms and Conditions
- Treatment/Pamper Party duration times indicate the length of the total booking and not the specific treatment times.
- All new clients are required to complete a confidential consultation form prior to treatment.
- Massage appointments booked online require a non-refundable 25% deposit (payable by debit/credit card through PayPal).
- Pamper Party bookings require a non-refundable 25% deposit (payable by bank transfer or debit/credit card through PayPal).
- A 50% charge will be due if 12-24 hours’ notice of cancellation is given for massage appointments.
- A 100% charge will be due if less than 12 hours’ notice of cancellation is given for massage appointments.
- A 100% charge will be due by cash or bank transfer for failure to attend a massage appointment.
- Normal cancellation policy applies to Gift Vouchers.
- No refund will be given for the cancellation of Pamper Parties once the final balance has been paid.
- A surcharge may be payable for treatments/Pamper Parties outside of a 10 mile radius.
The Business
Pure Life Massage Therapy (Michele Akester-Marsh) offers a range Massage treatments (including Pregnancy Massage), Baby Massage classes and Pamper Parties. It also offers treatments for private and Corporate Events.
Massage and Pregnancy Massage treatments are offered at Hamworthy Osteopathic Clinic. Pure Life Massage Therapy attends Baby Massage classes/courses and Pamper Parties by prior arrangement. Baby Massage classes and Pamper Parties will usually take place at the client’s home, with the exception of organised Baby Massage courses.
Pure Life Massage Therapy supplies its own therapy equipment. All therapists associated with Pure Life Massage Therapy are qualified and insured to provide the services offered. Copies of qualifications can be provided on request.
Bookings
Bookings can be taken by phone, email or via Pure Life Massage Therapy’s online booking system. Massage appointments booked online require a non-refundable 25% deposit (payable by debit/credit card through PayPal).
Pamper Party bookings require a non-refundable 25% deposit (payable by bank transfer or debit/credit card through PayPal). Full payment for Baby Massage classes/courses, Pamper Parties and events must be received by bank transfer or PayPal at least 14 days prior to the first appointment or party date.
Bookings will be confirmed by email once the required deposit and booking particulars have been received (eg. Treatment Booking Forms are required to confirm Pamper Parties). Pure Life Massage Therapy reserves the right to make other bookings over preliminary bookings if the deposit and booking particulars have not been received by the requested date. In this eventuality the client will be contacted before confirming another booking.
Treatment/Pamper Party duration times indicate the length of the total booking and not the specific treatment times.
Late Bookings
Last minute bookings can usually be accommodated, although cannot be guaranteed. Pure Life Massage Therapy must be notified as soon as practicable and payment must be made upon booking. A late booking fee may be applied to pamper party bookings made less than 14 days before the booking.
Cancellations
A 50% charge will be due if 12-24 hours’ notice of cancellation is given for massage appointments.
Full payment by cash or bank transfer is required if less than 12 hours’ notice of cancellation is given for massage appointments, or for failure to attend massage appointments. The reason for this is that there is little chance we will be able to re-book cancelled appointments and we may have turned other bookings down.
No refund will be given for the cancellation of Pamper Parties once the final balance has been paid.
In the case of cancellation, refund of any deposit paid is at the discretion of Pure Life Massage Therapy and each circumstance will be taken on its own merits. For Group Baby Massage classes, Pamper Parties or Events no refund can be given to any individual guest cancellations or no-shows.

Pure Life Massage Therapy reserves the right to change/cancel any booking with immediate notice to the client. In the event of not being able to rearrange the booking to a convenient date and time, a refund of all monies paid to date will be given.
Gift Vouchers
Normal cancellation policy applies to Gift Vouchers. Clients may re-arrange Gift Voucher massages providing more than 24 hours is given.
Client Information
All personal information held by Pure Life Massage Therapy is treated as private and confidential. It is used solely by Pure Life Massage Therapy and will not be disclosed to other parties.
Personal information may be used to inform clients about other products and services that may be of interest (by means of telephone, email or post). Client details will be removed from the mailing list upon request.
Complaints
It is the intention of Pure Life Massage Therapy to provide clients with a high level of customer service at all times. However, if dissatisfied at any time please email enquiries@purelifemassage.co.uk or telephone 07890 319388. If dissatisfied during a treatment, Baby Massage class or course, Pamper Party or Corporate Event please say and all will be done to urgently resolve the matter.
Extent of Liability
Clients are required to complete a signed Consultation Form prior to treatment. Pure Life Massage Therapy can therefore not be held liable/responsible for reactions, contra-indications or injury via treatment once consent has been given. Aftercare advice leaflets will be provided prior to each treatment or discussed during Baby Massage classes.
Pure Life Massage Therapy cannot accept liability for events outside its control to include hazards and dangers within your home.
Additional
Therapists reserve the right to refuse or terminate treatment to any client deemed to be behaving inappropriately or under the influence of drugs or alcohol. In this instance full payment is still required and no refund will be given.
Therapists require a quiet room and a smoke free environment to carry out treatments or classes when working away from their normal place of work.
